NMSU Floral team is open to any NMSU student. There are no “pre-requisites” or requirements to become a member, but a healthy dose of enthusiasm for all things flowers helps. Our membership includes graduate and undergraduate students from all colleges on the NMSU campus. Activities include attending local floral industry seminars, field trips to floriculture related businesses, donor appreciation events, floral design practices, flower and plant sales, greenhouse crop management, and recruiting fairs. Students interested in competing in floral design competitions will need to meet competition guidelines. The NMSU Floral team competes locally, regionally, and nationally as interest allows. Competition guidelines are published each competition season. A minimum of 30 fundraising hours per semester, per student, is required for travel to competition.
